The Town Council may, in its sole option and discretion, provide that the management of the Town water utility system, or a portion thereof, be accomplished by the use of an independent contractor. In the event the Town Council determines that it is in the best interests of the inhabitants of the Town to have the Town’s water utility managed by an independent contractor, the Town Council shall select bids and proposals from individuals and entities with proven water utility management experience. Management fees are to be paid by the Town from water utility revenues for such management services. ((O)96-13, 03/25/1996)
